Contraception Options

With so many options available, it can be difficult to know which form of birth control is right for you. At Women’s Health at Valley View, we work with women to help them understand what form of birth control may be best suited for them. Through comprehensive contraception counseling, our team of board-certified OB/GYNs and certified nurse midwives will evaluate your medical and family history, as well as your lifestyle to be able to better provide an option that meets your needs.

Hormone Treatments

Hormone treatment at Women’s Health at Valley View can provide relief from symptoms associated with perimenopause, menopause, and postmenopause. Our OB/GYN specialists offer both pharmaceutical and bioidentical hormone replacement therapy options at our Glenwood Springs, Basalt, and Silt, CO locations. After a thorough examination of your current symptoms, blood tests, and a review of your medical history, we will suggest the appropriate form of treatment for you. We can also evaluate if any additional tests need to be conducted to rule out any other existing conditions.

Genetic Testing

Hereditary Cancer Testing is a blood or saliva test that checks for genetic mutations that may increase your risk for developing certain cancers. We offer a wide range of hereditary cancer testing including the BRCA 1 and 2 genes as well as several others. Your provider can help determine the right testing for you.

STI Testing

Sexually transmitted infections (STIs) are contracted by vaginal, anal, and oral sex. The organisms that cause these diseases are specifically transmitted from one person to the next through blood, semen, vaginal secretions, or through other bodily fluids. At Women’s Health at Valley View, we screen for many different types of STIs at our clinic locations in Glenwood Springs, Basalt, Eagle and Silt, CO.
