Polysomnography records your brain waves, the oxygen level in your blood,
heart rate and rhythm breathing effort and leg movements. The test records
your nighttime sleep patterns.
Home Sleep Testing (HST)
A home sleep apnea test is a very simplified breathing monitor that tracks
your breathing, heart rate, oxygen levels, and body position while worn.
Devices used are the Philips and WatchPat HST’s.
Multiple Sleep Latency Testing (MSLT)
The multiple sleep latency test (MSLT) tests for excessive daytime sleepiness
by measuring how quickly you fall asleep in a quiet environment during
the day. Also known as a daytime nap study, the MSLT is the standard tool
used to diagnose narcolepsy and idiopathic hypersomnia.
Pediatric Polysomnography
Pediatric polysomnography is the diagnostic study of choice to evaluate
for parasomnias, obstructive sleep apnea, and to evaluate cardiorespiratory function.
