About Michelle
I am a board-certified psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner (PMHNP-BC) and have recently joined the Valley View Psychiatry department. I’ve been a part of the VV family since 2001 and began my career as an RN in Acute Care. Joining the psychiatry departments is a bit of a homecoming for me as I also worked with the VV Youth Recovery Center—a treatment program for youth with substance abuse issues. To me the mind, brain and body are all connected. I have always enjoyed the mental health aspect of patient care. I cannot think of any role I have had in nursing, from direct patient care to leadership, that did not involve some, if not many, aspects of mental health.
