About Maura
Maura Fagan, MPAS, PA-C is an advanced practice provider at Silt Family Practice. She holds a bachelor of science in psychology and a bachelor of science in natural science from the University of Pittsburgh, where she also earned her master’s degree in physician assistant studies at the school of rehabilitation science.
Maura believes deeply in prioritizing the care in caregiving. “I’ve always loved helping people, in every aspect,” she says. “Being a physician assistant allows me to provide care to individuals who may not always have easy access to health care.”
She is a strong advocate for women’s health and has a special interest in adolescent and young adult medicine, offering services such as mental health support, sexual health counseling and gender-affirming care. Maura is passionate about meeting patients where they are, tailoring treatment plans to each individual. “Every patient is different,” she says. “We’re taught in school that there’s a ‘right treatment’ for every diagnosis, but in reality, the right treatment comes from communication and building trust.”
Originally from Michigan, Maura has spent most of her adult life living in Florida and Pennsylvania and relocated to the Roaring Fork Valley in April 2024. Outside of work, she enjoys exploring Colorado’s Western Slope, hiking, road biking, cross-country skiing and water sports like rafting and paddle-boarding.
