About Marcus
Marcus Howell, MD, specializes in the treatment of cardiac and peripheral vascular disorders including carotid artery disease, aortic aneurysms, and lower extremity arterial disease. As a board certified interventional cardiologist, Dr. Howell treats a variety of cardiovascular disorders including coronary artery disease, congestive heart failure, valvular heart disease, and arrhythmias. Dr. Howell received his medical degree at Georgetown University and then spent six years on active duty with the U.S. Navy as an internal medicine physician. He then pursued a cardiology fellowship at the Texas Heart Institute in Houston, including specialty training in interventional cardiology and vascular medicine. He has spent 18 years practicing cardiology in Western Colorado, both locally and in Grand Junction. He enjoys being able to offer advanced treatment for cardiac and peripheral vascular disease with the use of the new hybrid cath lab.
