About Kaylee

Kaylee Peterson is a social worker with Valley View’s Pediatric Partners. She is a Coloradan through and through, having grown up in Silt, Colo. and attended the University of Denver to earn her master’s degree in social work in 2021. Prior to this, Kaylee earned a dual bachelor’s degree in political science and sociology from the University of Colorado, Boulder, where she focused on international affairs and criminal justice studies.

Kaylee was drawn back to the Roaring Fork Valley by its energy and beauty. “People here have very deep roots and are very attached to the vibe of the place,” she says. “There’s so much going on, so much excitement, but it’s still very peaceful. There aren’t many places like that in the world.”

Technically, Kaylee’s clients are the children being treated at Pediatric Partners, but her scope extends beyond them. “If mom and dad aren’t OK, then their kids can’t be. My main focus is always the children, but it’s a very special and important part of my job to work with every family as completely as I can.”

“That glimmer of compassion from someone outside of the family can make such a difference and put people on a new and better path. I feel very lucky that I get to play that role for my clients.”

Kaylee describes herself as a homebody, though travel is a very important part of her life. “I didn’t graduate from school very long ago, but now that I have, the travel bucket list is getting long,” she says. When she is at home, crafting is a frequent activity. “I just love building this cozy, creative environment. Peace and quiet are wonderful byproducts that come out of the effort.”
