About Katie
A Colorado native, Dr. Katie Mang-Smith works with women and their families at Women’s Health at Valley View to provide optimal care and a positive patient experience. As a trained OB/GYN, she has developed an array of skills in multiple areas of women’s health. Dr. Mang-Smith believes in the power of preventive medicine and encourages her patients to make healthy choices that support full and active lives.
With training and experience in several areas, Dr. Mang-Smith has particular interests in ultrasound diagnostics, minimally invasive gynecologic surgery, high-risk obstetrics, and contraception counseling. As a part of surgical procedures, she performs hysterectomies, fibroid removal, and laparoscopic endometriosis treatment. Through obstetric services, Dr. Mang-Smith provides prenatal care and testing, ultrasounds and sonograms, and vaginal birth after cesarean. Dr. Mang-Smith also performs fertility testing, infertility treatments, and other women’s health services, including hormone therapy and genetic testing for BRCA 1 and 2.
Dr. Mang-Smith attended Saint Louis University for her undergraduate degree and Loyola University of Chicago for her medical degree. After completing her residency at the University of New Mexico, she moved back to Colorado to be close to family and to share all that she loves about her home state with her husband and their three wonderfully entertaining little boys. She is currently board certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology.
