About Kala
Before moving to the Roaring Fork Valley, Kala worked for several years as a nurse-midwife in Boulder, CO. A Midwesterner at heart, she grew up in Minnesota and earned a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology from the University of Wisconsin, Madison. She then attended Yale University for her nursing and midwifery education. Kala is committed to honoring the individuality of each woman, whether she’s coming to us for an annual wellness check, contraceptive counseling, or labor and birth care. She finds it especially satisfying to create relationships with women throughout their reproductive lives and working together to optimize their health and wellness. When she is not at work, you can find her hiking, traveling, or soaking in the hot springs. Kala is happy to call Colorado home and looks forward to providing informed, compassionate healthcare to families here at Women’s Health.
