About Hillary

Hillary Seger, MD is an OB/GYN physician with Women’s Health at Valley View. She attended medical school at the University of Washington in Seattle and completed her residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of Utah in Salt Lake City. She then worked as a clinical instructor at the University of Utah School of Medicine, within the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology for a year following residency. Since leaving academics, Hillary has practiced in rural hospitals in Homer, Alaska, and Ashland, Oregon.

Dr. Seger is board-certified in general obstetrics and gynecology and specializes in helping women with gynecological issues such as menopause, pelvic pain, and many other reproductive health issues. Most specifically, she enjoys connecting with her patients to understand their concerns and address their issues in a way that is consistent with their values. Having practiced in small communities her entire career, most of Dr. Seger’s practice in the past was solo in nature. As such, the team spirit at Women’s Health is a welcome change of pace. “It’s so refreshing to have partners,” she says with enthusiasm. She is very appreciative of the physicians, certified nurse-midwives, and staff members in both the Women’s Health Clinic and the Family Birthplace who all work together to care for the women of the Roaring Fork Valley.

Dr. Seger and her husband have three children, and their lives in the Roaring Fork Valley revolve, as so many do, around enjoying our amazing outdoor scene. “We ski a lot, that was a huge draw for us,” she says. In her solo time, Dr. Seger also enjoys running, mountain biking, skiing, and being with her family.
