About Eric

Eric Strauch PA-C is a physician assistant at The Spine Center at Valley View. He earned his undergraduate degree from University of Richmond and masters of medical science with honors from Emory University School of Medicine.

Eric has more than 25 years of experience in spine surgery bringing personalized care to spine patients. Previously, Eric was a key member of the spine program at the Steadman Clinic in Vail, Colo., where he received the Outstanding Preceptor Award for the CAATE Athletic Training Residency. Joining forces with Dr. Donald Corenman in 1998, Eric played an instrumental role in creating a comprehensive spine surgery program that served patients from Denver and the Western Slope as well as individuals from across the globe. Together, they co-invented the Sterile-Z Back Table Drape and the Sterile-Z Patient Drape to increase safety and efficiency in the operating room and to protect patients during 3-D radiographic spine surgery.

At The Spine Center at Valley View, Eric continues to pursue his passion for spine care working with Dr. Felipe Ituarte. Eric specializes in treating patients with back and neck disorders, taking the time to ensure meticulous diagnosis, empowering patients through education and allowing them to be active participants in their treatment planning. Eric guides patients through all available options, from conservative treatments such as physical therapy and injections to surgical interventions when necessary. This is achieved in an empathetic environment where respect for the patient and overall patient experience are of the utmost importance.

Eric has lived in Colorado for nearly three decades and is passionate about the great outdoors. He loves alpine skiing, uphill skiing (skinning), mountain biking, stand-up paddleboarding on rivers and hiking. Outside of his professional life, Eric is a devoted family man. He and his wife Kim have raised three boys and a Bernese mountain dog in the mountain town of Vail.
