About Claire
Claire O’Halloran, WHNP-BC, CNM, ARNP, is a board-certified nurse midwife and women’s health nurse practitioner at Women’s Health at Valley View. She brings a diverse clinical background in oncology, reproductive health and midwifery, with experience at Beginnings Birth Center in Colorado Springs, Swedish Medical Center and Fred Hutchinson Cancer Center in Seattle.
Claire earned her Master of Science in Nursing and Midwifery from Georgetown University and is dedicated to advancing equitable access to comprehensive reproductive health care. She has a strong clinical focus on disease prevention, health promotion and evidence-based, patient-centered care, while also having a keen interest in complementary and alternative treatments, with a focus on holistic health. Committed to social justice and inclusivity, she strives to provide high-quality, non-discriminatory care to individuals across all backgrounds.
“There are many barriers that prevent people from seeking health care,” Claire says. “My goal is to be a trusted clinician—delivering compassionate, evidence-based care throughout every stage of reproductive health, from adolescence through menopause.”
Claire is deeply committed to patient advocacy and empowerment, guiding individuals through complex medical decisions with clarity and support. “I believe in fostering meaningful connections with my patients. True, high-quality care goes beyond diagnosis and treatment—it requires trust, collaboration, and a personalized approach.”
She is an active member of the National Association of Nurse Practitioners in Women’s Health and the American College of Nurse Midwives, and is a two-time recipient of the DAISY Award for nursing excellence.
Originally from Longmont, Colorado, Claire now lives in the Roaring Fork Valley with her husband. Outside of clinical practice, she enjoys mountain biking, yoga, skiing, photography, and has recently started learning how to make tea with herbs from her garden.
