About Ashley
Ashley Adams, PA-C is a physician assistant at Valley View’s Neurology Center. She received her Master of Physician Assistant Studies from Rocky Mountain College in Billings, MT after graduating from Arizona State University in 2018. In previous positions, she worked in neurology and psychiatry. Ashley is the first member of her family to enter medical practice.
Ashley enjoys practicing neurology because there’s always more to understand and more research to do. She finds the constant learning and moving forward, together, with her patients rewarding.
“My approach to practice is a shared decision model,” she continues. “My patients and I decide together their best course of treatment, and together we proceed. Treatment isn’t the same for every patient, nor should it be. I love the collaboration in listening to every patient as an individual and finding the best course for each one. With such an approach, success—helping patients recover from stroke, or lessen the frequency of seizures—becomes a team effort, rather than my dictating instructions to them.”
Ashley lives in Glenwood Springs with her significant other and their two dogs. In her spare time, she’s a self-proclaimed daredevil and always looking for the next challenge. An avid skier, her next adventures include learning to paraglide and experiencing other ways of life through travel.
