What Is Cancer Rehabilitation?

Most cancer survivors will face at least one side effect related to cancer or cancer treatment which impacts their daily life. Some challenges we can address include poor endurance, nerve pain, numbness or tingling, joint and muscle stiffness, deconditioning, difficulty walking, balance issues, vestibular symptoms with functional movements, pelvic floor impairments, lymphedema, swallowing and speech difficulties, memory problems, difficulty concentrating, and osteopenia or osteoporosis.

The goal of cancer rehabilitation is to improve quality of life for cancer patients at the time of diagnosis, through treatment, and following treatment.

The cancer rehabilitation therapy team works closely with your referring provider and affiliated medical departments, ensuring that your treatment plan is comprehensive and well-coordinated. Our integrative approach ensures you receive the best possible care for whatever your medical needs may be.

A physical therapy referral is required from your health care provider.
