Meet Valley View’s Primary Care New Providers

Meet Valley View’s Primary Care New Providers

Valley View’s primary care practices have grown tremendously in the last few years. Please help us in welcoming all of the new providers.

Caroline Riddle, MD is a family medicine physician at Roaring Fork Family Practice in both Carbondale and Willits. “I love the variety I see every day at work,” she says. “No two days are alike, and you need so many different skills to treat your patients properly. I also love the trust my patients put in me—we learn about their lives and health together, then make decisions to keep them moving forward. It’s a real cooperative relationship.”

Shari Kiehnbaum, PA-C, is a physician assistant at Valley View’s Roaring Fork Family Practice in both Carbondale and Willits. Shari moved to the Roaring Fork Valley in 2003, after growing up in Minnesota and vacationing frequently in the Colorado mountains. “I’m a huge believer in lifestyle medicine,” she continues. “Helping patients manage their conditions and meeting them where they are, that’s the most rewarding thing about what I do.”

Sarah Suprise, MMS, PA-C is a physician assistant with Valley View’s Roaring Fork Family Practice in Carbondale. Sarah and her husband live in Carbondale, where his family has lived for the last 130 years. “In a small community, it’s far easier to feel connected,” she says. “And though we practice the best in modern medicine, we also rely on lifestyle advice to connect with our patients. For people who live were we do, we can encourage active lifestyles and healthy diets, since we have great access to both excellent food and all kinds of outdoor activities.”

Caryn Peters, PA-C is a physician assistant at Roaring Fork Family Practice in both Carbondale and Willits. Caryn became interested in medicine after a difficult personal experience. “As a young adult, I was hospitalized with a serious illness,” she says. “Not only did my health care providers save my life and help me understand my condition, but they ended up inspiring me to do the same for others.”

Haley Hoffman, DO is a family medicine physician at Roaring Fork Family Practice in both Carbondale and Willits. She was born and raised in Aspen. “It’s wonderful to be back in the Valley again, to experience that sense of community,” she says. “I get to treat entire families, share in their ups and downs, and see the results of our work over time. You only get to do all that in a tight-knit community like ours.”

Jolysa Bosco, DO is a pediatrician at Pediatric Partners in Willits and Glenwood Springs. According to Dr. Bosco, a unique aspect of working in pediatrics is the role she gets to play in the lives of patients early on. “Focusing on things like sleep, mental health, nutrition and creating good habits, sets children up for less risk of illness later on in their lives,” she says. “I want to put the power in the patient’s and their family’s own hands.”

Maura Fagan, MPAS, PA-C is an advanced practice provider at Silt Family Practice in Silt. She is a strong advocate for women’s health and has a special interest in adolescent and young adult medicine. Maura is passionate about meeting patients where they are, and tailoring treatment plans to each individual. “Every patient is different,” she says. “We’re taught in school that there’s a ‘right treatment’ for every diagnosis, but in reality, the right treatment comes from communication and building trust.”

Heather Reiley, MD is a pediatrician with Valley View’s Pediatric Partners. She is an accomplished wilderness and rural physician, having completed an interdisciplinary program in medical school focused on providing care in rural contexts where resources are more limited. “I tend to view health policy and medicine through a global lens. Location generally determines health outcomes and standards of care, but my job is to bridge as many of those gaps as possible and provide excellent care to every population I come into contact with,” she says.

Juliana Oliveira, DO is a board-certified family medicine physician at Silt Family Practice. “I enjoy getting to know entire families of patients, from grandparents to grandchildren,” she says. “Taking care of whole families is the most rewarding part of what I do.” Dr. Oliveira’s clinical interests include women’s health, pediatrics, adolescent health, office procedures, management of chronic disease such as high blood pressure and diabetes, hepatitis C treatment and addiction medicine. She is fluent in Spanish and Portuguese.
