Top Plastic Surgeon Unveils New Practice at Valley View

Mount Sopris Plastic Surgery Center brings full spectrum care closer to home.

Valley View (VV) is excited to announce the arrival of Plastic Surgeon Jennifer Butterfield, MD, to the Roaring Fork Valley. With the launch of her new practice, Mount Sopris Plastic Surgery Center, Cincinnati’s top doc will meet the growing need for a highly skilled plastic and reconstructive surgeon in the valley.

Dr. Butterfield specializes in both plastic and reconstructive surgery of the breast, body, face and skin; providing the latest advances in surgical and non-surgical treatments. Patients will have access to a full range of aesthetic and reconstructive services, including facial and body contouring, and skin rejuvenation.

Dr. Butterfield is board certified by the American board of plastic surgery. Before coming to VV, Dr. Butterfield was the medical director of the Women’s Plastic Surgery Center in Cincinnati, Ohio. After receiving her medical degree from the University of Toledo Medical Center in Ohio, she immediately began her post-graduate training and finished her residency as Chief Resident in 2002. She then spent her first two years in an academic setting at the University of Cincinnati Medical Center as an Assistant Professor of Surgery, in the Division of Plastic, Reconstructive and Hand Surgery. Dr. Butterfield continues to stay on the cutting edge; completing an aesthetic fellowship with Drs. Baker and Stuzin of the prestigious, Plastic Surgery Associates of Miami, Florida.

“I knew from a very young age I wanted to be a doctor. Growing up in a family of artists and architects, I had no lineage to medicine. While at university, I was able to unite my love of science and art to the field of aesthetic surgery. Unlike most plastic surgeons that specialize in cosmetic surgery only, my experience in reconstructive surgery provides an emerging opportunity to work closely with VV physicians and the Calaway∙Young Cancer Center.”

“Eliminating barriers to care is extremely important. Often friends and neighbors in the valley have to travel long distances to get access to specialty care and state-of-the-art treatments. By integrating my practice with the VV network, utilizing the latest advancements in technology, and providing a complete spectrum of plastic and reconstructive services, we will advance the quality and convenience of care.”

Dr. Butterfield is seeing patients at the Willits Care Center located at 350 Market Street, Basalt, and will open a second location in late September at Valley View Hospital in Glenwood Springs.
