Prenatal Pelvic Floor Class - In Person
- Categories: Childbirth Education
Presented by Pelvic Floor Physical Therapists at Valley View
Prepare your pelvic floor for labor, delivery and post-partum at this one-hour, express class. You will learn about the anatomy of the abdominal and pelvic floor musculature, as well as the importance of training these muscles to improve your physical and mental health during and after pregnancy. This class is for expecting moms, 28-weeks and over. It’s a great class to take after the Childbirth Education class. The following topics will be covered:
- Breathing and pushing techniques
- Using a TENS unit during labor and other labor comfort techniques
- Labor and delivery positioning to help ease labor and prevent post-delivery complications
- Prepping the perineum for delivery
- Body mechanics to protect your pelvic floor during and after pregnancy (such as how to carry a car seat, how to carry baby, sleeping positions for optimal comfort, etc).
This is for expecting moms only and their birth partners.
You are not required to wear a mask at Valley View, but we support those who choose to mask.
