Emergency Care
Valley View is a Level III trauma facility providing 24-hour coverage by emergency medicine physicians, general surgeons and anesthesiologists. In 2024, Valley View was recognized as “pediatric ready” by the Colorado Pediatric Preparedness for the Emergency Room (COPPER) Program, marking the first Level III Trauma Center in Colorado to be COPPER verified.
Our doctors are supported by the latest equipment for diagnosis and treatment, an extensive network of specialists that can be contacted at a moment’s notice, and a dedicated support staff trained to work calmly in high-pressure situations.
Emergency Stroke Services
If you notice any signs or symptoms of a stroke—even if they seem to come and go or they disappear entirely—think “BE FAST” and do the following:
- Balance. Watch for sudden loss of balance.
- Eyes. Check for loss of vision in one or both eyes.
- Face. Check for uneven smile.
- Arms. Check for arm weakness.
- Speech. Listen for speech that is slurred or strange.
- Time. Call 911 right away.
A stroke is always a medical emergency, and if you or someone you are with are experiencing symptoms, you must seek stroke treatment immediately. Call 911 right away. Don’t wait to see if symptoms stop. Remember: TIME IS BRAIN
