Benefits and Risks?

Depending on the type and dosage of radiation used and the location of the treatment (head, breasts, prostate, skin, stomach, etc.), the risks will vary and everyone will respond differently as each person has a unique biological makeup. Common side effects of radiation include nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, skin issues, hair loss, and fatigue. Although exposing your body to radiation may result in adverse side effects, the benefit of eliminating cancer far outweighs these temporary symptoms.
