The Valley View Hospital Auxiliary is comprised of volunteers who support the hospital through numerous ways. Not only do they contribute their time to the hospital, they also provide monetary support through fundraising efforts to pursue their goal of Health Education for the community.
All funds raised by the Auxiliary are contributed to the Connie Delaney Medical Library and sponsorship of the Auxiliary Scholarship Program for those pursuing a career in the health sciences or medical profession.
**** These scholarships are awarded annually, to local residents and
include:
- Teeny Jeung Memorial Scholarship:
This scholarship for local, graduating, High School seniors is in memory of Teeny Jeung, a long time emergency room nurse at Valley View Hospital. Students from Basalt to Rifle, who have been accepted into a health sciences program at a college or university are eligible to apply. Applications are available from your High School guidance counselor or by contacting the Community Relations Department at (970) 384-6656.
- Health Sciences Scholarship:
The Health Sciences Scholarship is intended for students pursuing a career in the medical profession who have been out of high school for at least one year. Applicants must be accepted into a health sciences program at a college or university. Applications are available by contacting the Community Relations Department at (970) 384-6656.
- Colorado Mountain College Nursing Scholarship:
The Valley View Hospital Auxiliary sponsors several scholarships for students accepted into the Colorado Mountain College Nursing program. These scholarships are only available for this program and are awarded through the Colorado Mountain College Foundation. Please contact them at (970) 947-8355 for more information and applications.
