Valley View Hospital named a “Five-Star Provider”
Valley View Hospital recently received national recognition as a top-ranked “Community Value Five-Star Provider” in Cleverley + Associates’ new publication, State of the Hospital Industry – 2010 Edition.
The publication reports selected measures of hospital financial performance and discusses the critical factors that lie behind them. Based on a Community Value Index (CVI), a hospital is rated by the value a facility provides to its community.
Financial viability, appropriately reinvestiment back into the facility, low cost
structure, reasonable charges, and high quality care are the measures of community value utilized by Cleverly + Associates in their study. Hospitals in the top twenty percent of CVI scores are named “Five-Star” hospitals. Only five hospitals in
Colorado received the “Five-Star” ranking.
Jamie Cleverley, principal with the firm, visited Valley View last week to
present the recognition of performance.
